FAO Schwarz! We did visit the giant keyboard from the tom hanks movie BIG, but it was so overrun with actual children (instead of us, acting like children) that we didn’t get on.
at the barbie shop little girls were creating their own barbies and then sending them down in a runway show- it seemed pretty awesome.
the PhD barbie was part of a throwback barbie set. and the box actually says she has her PhD in fashion (hmmm).
and the baby nursery was cute at first, but then it seemed oddly creepy that little girls go pick the cutest baby. there are actually stories about the store running out of certain ethnicities and others not being wanted. disturbing…
But, on the whole FAO Schwarz was all the fun we had anticipated.
